About the Book::
Enter the world of Will Lesterall, a boy who’s grown up in the safety of his father’s castle.
Tales of the outside world ruled by warring kings and creatures of nightmare have never seemed a threat, yet on the night celebrating the two hundredth year of the sacred Pact that has kept Fort Lesterall safe, a secret intrigue ripens, and in the course of a few hours Will is confronted with a choice greater than he can comprehend.
Join an unlikely hero as destiny pulls him into the middle of an ancient conflict between fallen gods and ambitious women, one that demands blood, both holy and wicked, and the power of an ancient fire bound in steel. As swords clash below a watching wood, hope and betrayal war as fiercely as fear and valor.
Whether he lives or dies, Will Lesterall will never be the same.
My Thoughts::
 With so many different fantasy story that are written, they are always so long and take a long time to read. I love this book "The Pact" it is about a little boy that is 10 years old and his name is Will. Will living in a time where their are creatures that we could only dream about now. Like goblins, dragon and other creatures that were created that should not be alive. Will and his brother Robin never had to worry about these creatures coming into the castle or have a fear of the creatures. Yet, This will soon change when the 200th anniversary came around the pact was broken. The dragons, goblins and the other worldly creatures start coming into the castle. Will and his bother have to make choices that are life and death decisions. I am hoping that their will be a second book that is going to be created since it was a exciting fun read for me. I am looking forward to seeing what else is created by Graeme.

  2. This author and style sounds so familiar. Long ago I fancied a childrens' book author named Graeme Base, who wrote 'Animalia' and several others. I wonder if there might be a connection, think?

  13. Sounds like a very interesting read! Based on the age of the characters, would this be appropriate for a 11-12 year old? This sounds like something my oldest son would love to read.
